Where New Seasons Begin

Inauguración de la sala art gallery

It feels like it was just yesterday. Alfredo Romero and Laura Garcia opened La Sala Art Gallery in 2014 with the intention of creating a space where people could feel truly welcomed—somewhere they could enjoy art and engage in meaningful conversations as if they were sitting in the living room of a home.

Throughout all these years, we have remained committed to presenting international artists whose work contributes something genuinely significant to the contemporary art scene, bringing to Mérida the proposals that have captured our attention in the global art world. La Sala has focused primarily on exhibiting the work of Alfredo Romero, as well as artists we have met and invited through our participation in art fairs across the United States.

To date, La Sala has brought Mexican art to more than fifteen art fairs in the United States, a commitment that fills us with pride and drives us to continue showcasing the best of contemporary artistic production. Along this path, we have built important collaborations with galleries in New York and Houston, and more recently, for this new opening, with Simard Bilodeau Contemporary in Los Angeles, which presents the work of one of its artists as part of La Sala’s four-artist exhibition.

The physical space has changed over the years, but the spirit remains the same: La Sala is, and will always be, a place where people feel comfortable, welcomed, and surrounded by exceptional art.

Today, our new location can be found at Calle 60 #381A, between 41 and 43, Mérida Centro. Visit us at lasalaart.com, follow us on Instagram @lasalaaart, or contact us at +52 999 289 3582.
