RAINER LAGEMANN
Rainer Lagemann (Düsseldorf, Germany, 1959) is a sculptor known for his abstract representations of the human body in motion. He studied Interior Architecture at FH Lippe University in Detmold, Germany, and in 1988, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he founded an interior design company. In 2005, he discovered his passion for sculpture while learning to weld, leading him to fully dedicate himself to this artistic discipline.
Throughout his career, he has exhibited in prestigious galleries and art fairs in Canada, Singapore, Europe, and the United States, establishing himself as a key figure in contemporary sculpture. His pieces are part of important private and corporate collections. Additionally, he has ventured into digital art by creating the first gLTF 3D NFT based on a physical fine art sculpture, exploring new artistic expressions.
SCULPTURES
His work is distinguished by the use of hollow stainless steel squares to create human figures that capture strength, delicacy, and the essence of movement. Each square symbolizes the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of the human being, resulting in compositions that evoke lightness and dynamism.
Currently, Rainer Lagemann continues to develop his work, maintaining his focus on the representation of the human body and exploring new possibilities within contemporary art.
